Important to know
There are a number of rules that Fjord Line applies that you should read carefully before departure:
- Identification: All passengers aged 18 and over must be able to show valid identification
- Age limit: Fjord Line has an age limit of 16 years for the Hirtshals Kristiansand crossing; for package holidays this is 18 years
- Currency: Fjord Line only accepts Danish Krone, Norwegian Krone and Euro as currency on board.
Traveling with pets with Fjord Line
🐶 Are you planning to take an animal on board during the crossing? Then take into account the following rules that Fjord Line applies:
- The MS Bergensfjord / MS Stavangerfjord have special huts for dogs and a dog kennel, the Fjord FSTR does not; here you have to stay with your dog at all times
- Dogs are not allowed inside the ship or in cabins not intended for this purpose
- The dog kennel costs 13 euros (note, there are limited places so booking in advance is smart)
- The crew does not supervise dogs
Fjord Line charges 7 euros for transporting small animals in the car.
