Important to know
There are some important rules that Color Line emphasizes for their crossings:
- Valuta: aan boord zijn alleen Euro, Deense Kronen en Noorse Kronen geaccepteerde valuta’s.
- Proof of ID: In Norway, border checks are carried out for all crossings from Denmark. So bring your passport or identity card.🪪
- Age limits: Color Line applies an age limit of 16 years for crossings and 20 years for day trips.
- Check-in: At Color Line you must arrive at the terminal at least 60 minutes before departure. Check the Hirstshals Kristiansand timetable and be on time.
- Currency: Only Euro, Danish Krone and Norwegian Krone are accepted currencies on board.
Animals on board at Color Line?
🐶 When you travel with an animal, Color Line applies the following rules:
- The animal must remain in the car or in a cage on the car deck
- Owner is responsible for supervising the animal
- In Norway, dogs must be on a leash at all times
- At least one zookeeper per two animals
- All necessary veterinary papers must be present
- Additional costs will be charged: 14 euros for an animal in a cage, 8 euros for an animal in the car
There are exceptions for assistance dogs or guide dogs for the blind🦮. Visually impaired or blind passengers traveling without company are allowed to take them into designated cabins. A special booking must be made for this. This can be done by telephone on 0800 66 66 111.
